Donald Sutherland, OC, es un actor de cine canadiense. Sutherland es uno de los actores más versátiles de la escena hollywoodiense y una de las leyendas vivas del cine. Con variadas caracterizaciones y facilidad de interpretar varios géneros, que van desde lo terrorífico a la comedia, pasando por el humor negro, y logrando de manera superlativa un gran registro dramático. Sutherland ha protagonizado interpretaciones de personajes con una mezcla consistente de naturaleza turbulenta y honesta. Es el padre del famoso actor Kiefer Sutherland.
